ChromeUnboxがChromebaseと思しきプロジェクトについての噂を報じていました。
Currently, the USB device will be categorized as the external input device. However, karma (a chromebase project) uses the USB touchscreen controller to support large screen monitor (for example 23.8″). As a result, we need to add the udev rules to whitelist the USB touchscreen as the internal device. This patch also adds a rule to enable the touchscreen wakeup event.

USB TypeCで他のデバイスを充電できるとあるので、モバイル系のデバイスとは考えにくく、十分な電力が確保できるデスクトップ系統なのかと思われます。
Chrome Unboxの見立てではQuanta ComputerがODMとして設計しているようですが、このODMはいろんなメーカーの製品を手がけているので、どのブランドからこの製品が出てくるか予想できないとしています。
Windowsとのデュアルブートの噂もあるChromeOSなので、どんなフォームファクタで発売されても後で以下用にも活用できる強みがあると思われます。iMacのようなAIOデバイスになると思われますので楽しみです。
